Adam A. Schwartzbaum
Founder, Managing Partner
Adam A. Schwartzbaum is the Founder and Managing Partner of Schwartzbaum, P.A., a boutique plaintiff-side litigation firm dedicated to prosecuting complex class actions and high-impact consumer cases nationwide.
Adam founded the firm to pursue sophisticated, large-scale matters with greater strategic focus, agility, and long-term vision. He leads cases from investigation and case architecture through certification, dispositive motion practice, settlement, and appeal. The firm concentrates on unlawful fee practices, deceptive financial products, insurance-related misconduct, and violations of state and federal consumer protection statutes.
Over the course of his career, Adam has helped recover over $1.9 billion for his clients. He has been appointed class counsel in numerous matters and has played a leadership role in class actions and mass arbitrations across the country. His experience spans every stage of complex litigation, including high-stakes negotiations and appellate advocacy.
Adam’s background includes significant defense-side and appellate experience, which provides a distinct strategic advantage. Having litigated complex commercial and constitutional disputes at prominent firms, he understands the internal incentives, risk calculations, and litigation posture of institutional defendants. That perspective informs a disciplined, forward-thinking approach to plaintiff-side advocacy.
Prior to founding Schwartzbaum, P.A., Adam was a partner at Edelsberg Law, where he represented individuals in complex class litigation nationwide, and remains Of Counsel to the firm. He previously practiced at The Moskowitz Law Firm, where he worked on large multi-district proceedings, including the Champlain Towers South Condominium Collapse Litigation, and chaired the firm’s appellate practice. Adam began his career in complex commercial litigation at Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman and White & Case.
Adam graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University as a Justice Brandeis Scholar. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School as a Levy Scholar, where he was a Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board, and President of the American Constitution Society.
Adam is active in the Miami community and serves on several nonprofit boards, including Nu Deco Ensemble, and Temple Menorah.
