Appeals

Many complex cases are ultimately decided not at trial, but on appeal. Appellate advocacy demands a different discipline—precision, strategic framing, and the ability to distill complicated records into clear legal questions.

Adam A. Schwartzbaum brings substantial appellate experience developed over more than a decade of practice. Early in his career at White & Case LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms, appellate work comprised the majority of his practice. Over eight years on the defense side, he worked extensively on appeals and dispositive motions in high-stakes commercial litigation, developing the analytical and writing skills required for effective appellate advocacy.

Schwartzbaum later chaired the appellate practice at Moskowitz Law, where he handled more than a dozen appeals in federal and state courts. At Edelsberg Law, he continued to play a leading role in appellate briefing and strategy in complex class actions nationwide, addressing issues that frequently shape the outcome of large-scale litigation.

This background gives Schwartzbaum a distinctive perspective: he has litigated appellate issues from both sides of the “v.” and understands how appellate courts analyze complex disputes.
