Bleacher Report VPPA $4.8M class action settlement
A $4.8 million Bleacher Report settlement compensates consumers whose personal information the company shared with Facebook without their consent.
The settlement benefits Bleacher Report account holders who had an account between Jan. 25, 2021, and May 21, 2024.
According to the class action lawsuit, Bleacher Report collected and shared user information without consent through Meta Pixel trackers embedded in its website. This information sharing allegedly violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act.

Bleacher Report hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $4.8 million to resolve the VPPA class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Bleacher Report settlement, class members can receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. Payments will vary depending on the number of valid claims filed. No payment estimates are available at this time.
The settlement for exclusion and objection is July 9, 2024.
